For Windows computers
Installing the WUIT-SecurePrint Virtual Printer
WashU IT is currently in the process of transitioning from using Print Servers and Active Directory to manage adding and removing printers, to a new product from PaperCut called Print Deploy. These steps document the legacy process of adding the WUIT-SecurePrint printer to your Windows machine.
Press Windows Key + R on your keyboard or press the start menu and type run and then Open
In the Run dialog box that opens, type \\prnt04p.wustl.edu\wuit-secureprint and press OK.
[Run Dialog]
You should see this window appear while the printer is installed.

The WUIT-SecurePrint virtual printer is now installed and ready to use.
You can now print normally from any application, just choose the WUIT-SecurePrint printer and then release the print job from Papercut at the desired printer using your ID card.
Registering your Badge
Go to the printer you want to release your print job(s) at.
You should see a Papercut Login screen.

We recommend you link your badge to make future release tasks faster and easier.
Note: linking your badge will let you skip typing in your WUSTL Key/Password when you need to release print jobs in the future
Tap your badge against the reader. (this is usually indicated by a small red light on the surface of the printer to the left of the screen)
If your badge doesn't have tap capabilities, you will need to use the screen on the printer to sign-in each time.
Use the printer touch screen to enter your WUSTL Key user/password.
Pay extra attention to the keyboard when enetering your password. It defaults to upper case to start.
When successful you will be returned to the login screen
Releasing your print jobs
Tap your badge and follow the on-screen instructions to release your print job(s).
You can choose to enter your WUSTL Key user/password on the touch screen instead of tapping your badge.
