Interpolation of filtered optimal phenological observations

Source

https://github.com/EMRAgit/fPHASE/blob/master/function/fPhaseInterpolation.R

Parameters

  • PLANT -> DWD crop type ID
  • PHASE -> DWD phase ID
  • SHP.DIR-> directory with filtered phenological observations (result from function fFilterAssessment
  • SHP.EPSG
  • DEM.DIR -> directory of digital elevation model (DEM) file
  • DEM.GRID
  • DEM.EPSG
  • OUT.DIR -> directory of interpolation result
  • KRIGE=TRUE -> KRIGE interpolation is carried out
  • SPLINE=FALSE -> SPLINE interpolation is excecuted
  • VALIDATION=TRUE -> global validation procedure is carried out
  • SPACC=FALSE -> derivation of local, phase-and year-specific spatial accuracy metrics

Output

  • DOY_[PLANT]-[PHASE]_[YEAR].shp -> shape file of optimal filtered observations
    • GRID_ID -> raster cell ID related to WEATHER_GRID_EPSG31467.shp
    • LON -> Longitude (EPSG 4326)
    • LAT -> Latitude (EPSG 4326)
    • STATION_ID -> ID of a phenological observation station
    • YEAR -> year of observation
    • PHASE -> DWD phase ID
    • PLANT -> DWD crop type ID
    • DATE -> date of a beginning phenological phase
    • DOY -> day of the year of a beginning phenological phase
    • DOY_start -> starting DOY, from which temperature sums are calculated
    • T[1:365] -> daily temperatures [°C x 10] of the year of harvest
    • T[-X:-1] -> only for winter crops: daily temperatures [°C x 10] of the year of sowing (-X=DOY-365) beginning with the DOY of sowing
    • T_SUMS -> phase- and station-specific temperature sums
    • DOY_PHASE -> DOY on which a specific temperature sum quantile is exceeded
  • DOY_[PLANT]-[PHASE]_[YEAR].tif -> phase-and year-specific interpolation result
  • if SPACC=TRUE: KSV,SSE_[PLANT]-[PHASE]_[YEAR].tif -> phase-and year-specific KRIGE standard variation (KSV) or SPLINE standard error (SE)
  • if VALIDATION=TRUE: VAM_[PLANT]-[PHASE]_[YEAR].csv -> phase-and year-specific global accuracy metrics (MSE, MAE, RMSE, R2)
