Parameters

• IN.DIR -> directory with downloaded phenological observations
• PLANT -> DWD crop type ID
• annual=TRUE -> import of annual (TRUE) or immediate observations (FALSE)

Output

• [Annual,Immediate]Observations_[PLANT].png -> Plot of yearly phase- and plant-specific observations
• Data frame object containing plant-specific phenological observations
  • QL -> DWD quality level
  • STATION -> ID of a phenological observation station
  • YEAR-> year of observation
  • PHASE -> DWD phase ID
  • PLANT -> DWD crop type ID
  • DATE -> date of a beginning phenological phase
  • QF -> quality flag
  • DOY -> day of the year of a beginning phenological phase
