Brief description

The "Image" media type is for adding reusable images to the site.

Detailed description

The "Image" media type consists of images that are available throughout the White Label site. All images uploaded to the site will be "registered" and they can be reused. This will ensure that the images will be consistent across any pages that use them.

Using the same image, it can be displayed in different image resolutions which are customisable via "/admin/config/media/image-styles". The image styles then can be applied to a specific content type or display. Doing it this way will ensure only a single copy of the image is required and it reduces disk space usage.

To add new "iframe" media:

  • Go to Content → Media → Add Media → Embedded map

The iframe media has these fields:

  • Name: Enter the media name.
  • Image: The image to be used
  • Image type: Used in back end only for image management
  • Caption Short caption. (optional)
  • Accessible description A longer accessible description, should be used for complex images with substantive content such as diagrams and infographics(optional)
