Brief description

The basic page content type is for generic website pages (such as "Accessibility", "Contact Us", etc), landing pages, and the site's homepage. Basic pages do not allow explicit relationships with other entities on the site to be defined, and should not be used for substantive content.

Permission to create basic pages is limit to site editors and administrators, but content editors can edit existing basic pages.

Detailed description

Content editors and site admins can add the basic page from "Content > Add content > Basic page" (/node/add/govcms_standard_page).

Fields

The "Basic page" content type has the following fields:

  • Title : Title of the page.
  • Components : A set of paragraphs/components for the main content of the page.
  • Description : Short description about the page.
  • Updated date : Last updated date of the page.
  • Published date : Published date of the page.
  • CTA : The “Read More” link text when displayed in a list.
  • Thumbnail : The thumbnail image when displayed in a list.
  • Status : Status of the page.
  • Superseded by : Superseded by other content.
  • Sidebar Components : A set of paragraphs/components on the sidebar of the page.
  • Meta Tags : Meta tags information for the page.
  • Search Exclude : Exclude the page from search results.
