How it will start

The goal of this project for this 2023 season will be to get two ROS packages created. One to handle LiDAR slam, and one to connect to NetworkTable/SmartDashboard.

These two projects will be a stepping stone to get into ROS as I don't have very much experience with it.

Future of development

As we move on, I would like to work with other teams to try and get this project into a state where its easy to integrate into other robots. The goal would be either to make a one and done solution like Limelights where ROS, the Jetson, and the packages are all bundled together.

Or maybe a system where users don't have to touch the backend ROS but can interact with it from Java, C++ APIs?
