1. Background

Each team of the Robotics Club uses Discord to supplement the weekly in-person meetings.

2. Steps

1. Download Slack
2. Ask your team lead for an invitation to the club's Slack channel.
3. Join the channels for the teams you are interested in (#software, #electrical, #mechanical, #science, #business).
4. Navigate to your profile settings: click on your name in the top left > click 'Profile & account' > click 'Edit Profile'
5. Add the name that you prefer to be called by as your ‘Display name’.
6. Add your full name to the 'Full name' section.
7. Add your position (for instance, “Software Member”) to the ‘What I do’ section.
8. Set your profile photo to a photo of yourself. This is extremely useful so that other team members can get to know your face/name. It also helps the other teams find you if they need to contact you but don't know your name yet.
