Presented Demo with group.

April 26, 2019

Met with group to do one final run-through of the application, making sure our last pushes were running correctly. Then Discussed what would be on our presentation and who would present what.

Brainstormed with team about other things we could add to the Dorm Room scene to increase interactivity. Looking to add trivial things, like a ball that can be thrown, or adding more songs to the radio.

Went through the other VR groups project with team and found issues with the project. Some of their scene transitions were not functioning as advertised. Some of the 3D images looked a bit dated (the IBM building was not fully built in one of the scenes).

Went through issues assigned, addressed the issue pertaining to the aesthetic of the paintings in Dorm Room scene. Added more USC related images, instead of those scary "anti-USC" mountains.

Brainstormed with team about other ways we could increase interactivity. Decided on adding Game Objects that look like exclamation marks. When the player ray-casts the object it would display helpful information.

Helped team add the final set of game scenes to the project.

Worked on debugging a ray-casting error that was only affecting a specific game scene. Isolated the bug down to an if statement, brainstormed with team about how to fix. Eventually resolved the bug,

Worked on implementing mock interview menus and mp3's. Made it so the player will only be notified of the mock interview after they have visited the job fair. Fixed bug where player could not click on menus after accepting the interview invitation.

Met with group and talked about what we want to have included in the project by the Beta deadline. Decided on implementing most of the resources through the laptop game object in the "dorm room" game scene. Decided on a simpler, "RPG-like" way of implementing the mock interview, through the laptop.

Met with client and talked about expectations for the final project. Demo'd the project to one of the School of Business Deans. Talked about the benefits of Virtual Reality with the dean, and why our project was going to be useful.

Added game scenes that utilized the career fair 360 pictures, as well as game objects to navigate between them.

Brainstormed ideas for testing Milestone, merged the testing branch to the master branch.

Presented Proof of Concept in the 1-4 meeting slot.

Met with group to test builds and decide what we still have left to implement. Decided on and began implementing a strategy to teleport between 360 photo skyboxes. Also, confirmed our presentation date to be Dec 7.

Loaded in the 360 images into Unity and converted them into skyboxes. Then created scenes that use the skyboxes, which a functional player camera, worked on creating game objects that can be used to navigate these skybox scenes.

Met with client to show him our progress, mainly in the Dorm Room Scene, which served as a way to demonstrate the functionality of the Oculus Joystick.

Met with group to condense ideas and decide what we want to put in the Proof of Concept. Decided to focus on the Dorm Room Scene and either the Interview Scene or the Career Center.

Met with group to complete the Requirement Milestone. Brainstormed more ideas to implement for the Tutorial and Resume/Handshake scenes. Worked on the Research Milestone.

Met with client on Thursday, discussed our ideas, showed him the Detailed Design wiki****. The client gave us an Oculus Go. Worked on the Research Milestone.

Met with group to brainstorm about the Detailed Design Milestone. Fleshed out ideas about different scenarios the user would encounter. Helped team make mock-up images of these scenarios, as well as explanations of how they would work and flow together. Finished the Detailed Design Milestone by pushing these images and explanations to the wiki. Worked the on the Research Milestone.

Met with client to discuss goals of the project. Met with group to discuss persona ideas, and finish Milestone 4 and 5. Finished the 'Persona 2: Business Student' wiki. Conducted Unity research.

Meeting with client was pushed back to next week, because of hurricane. Also discussed ideas for future milestones, as well as read/watched tutorial videos for Unity.
