This is just a mirror of the Prime95 source code and I am not sure if @gwoltman monitors it. I would recommend emailing him your patch or posting it on the Mersenne forum. |

Thanks, Teal. I have seen the post in Mersenne forums. I'm deep into
prpll development, but I will look at both of these code suggestions in the
coming weeks.

This should speed up the skipping of stage 2 in the typical two-worker case. https://www.mersenneforum.org/node/21462?p=1094465#post1094465My slow-job-skipping issue seems to be related to disk IO speed. Since the whole savefile is going to be read anyways, this should not help. What this does improve is the generation of useless "setting polymult helper thread" lines.
