A more "proper" fix would try to memorize the position of where we last stopped so we don't try to look for a stage 1 all over again. But that sounds like a lot of work. It will also not change the linear-times-linear-is-quadratic nature because unless we also remember line start/end positions… so kinda pointless anyways. |
