Sortilege adds a new type of potion, antidotes.

Just like splash and lingering potions, one is registered for every effect type for which a drinkable potion is registered.

Drinking an antidote will instantly clear its associated effect (like a filtered milk bucket), and render its drinker immune to this effect for 5 minutes.

Antidotes can be obtained by brewing a glowing ink sac into the potion to counter. To get your potion back, just brew a regular ink sac into your antidote.

Catalyst Demo

Antidotes are faster to drink than potions. To prevent waste, they can't be used if you don't have the effect they cure, unless you are sneaking.

Configuration

  • brewing.antidote.enable

Boolean. If false, antidotes will not be registered as an item, meaning they will not even appear in /give or creative tabs. Unless you have a good reason to and know what you are doing, leave this on.

  • brewing.antidote.effect_blacklist

A list of effect ids. Effects in this list will not have an antidote added to creative tabs nor be brewable.

  • brewing.antidote.stack_size

Positive integer. How many antidotes can be held in a single slot (they must all cure the same effect to be stackable).

  • brewing.antidote.immunity_time

Integer. Amount of ticks for which antidotes make their drinker immune to their effect after drinking (20t = 1s).
