Device security

Image security

The wall-ink device displays any image given to it by the web server it is pointed to. Basic security measures have been implemented in the firmware to prevent unauthorized images to be displayed. See the discussion of these measures in the server security article.

Physical security

The 7.5" case front slides into to the rails of the case back securely, and will not fall off the wall. Two "security" screws were designed into the case to keep "curious" hands from removing the device from the wall. See the article on the 7.5" wall-ink case for details.

Admin mode

The settings in "Admin mode" are protected only by the WiFi password. Once successfully connected to the WiFi access point of a wall-ink device, all settings are visible and may be changed. There are no "view only" rights for "Admin mode".
