UseParalellOldGC was deprecated in Java 15 (cf https://bugs.openjdk.org/browse/JDK-8235860), and the JVM suggests using UseParallelGC instead.
BiocGenerics does not export a function called rowSums. Reverting to rowSums() from base R.
