Parupunte Effect List
Activated by entering the “rnt” or “PageDown” key during a game. A random effect is triggered. Abort with “snt”.
note: Parupunte is a magic in Dragon Quest where you never know what is going to happen. The original English name is Hocus Pocus.
You get $20,000 cash. Not that it’ll change your life or anything.
Best used with Chaos Mode. All civilians temporarily equip baseball bats.
A bunch of animals spawn around you. Sometimes it spawns old dudes instead. Why? Who knows.
The entire city temporarily blacks out.
Your clones appear in large numbers. Friend or foe? You decide.
Your wanted level either jumps to 4 stars… or disappears completely.
The weather changes at random.
Everyone, including you, is ejected from their vehicles.
When the player jumps and lands, it causes an earthquake.
Everyone around turns into a ninja and dashes around covered in sparks.
When they die, they go out with a bang — literally.
Zaps everyone nearby, including you.
People and vehicles slowly swarm toward you. You’re irresistible.
Dead bodies explode. Yeah.
Three seconds later, the player lets out an earth-shattering fart.
Everything behind gets blasted away. You included. Your car too, if you’re in one.
Nearby cars are equipped with sharks. Press the horn to launch them like torpedoes.
Yeah, we don’t get it either.
Nearby people and vehicles are fully healed.
Nearby vehicles float gently like balloons.
Tanks spawn and start attacking you. Two attack patterns:
- Stealth Mode: A ton of tanks appear at a distance.
- Squeeze Mode: Tanks sandwich you and crush you flat.
Your health regenerates over time.
Civilians float into the air and explode like fireworks. Who thought of this?
Civilians around you turn invisible.
Nearby vehicles turn invisible.
Everyone, including you and your car, launches high into the air and crashes back down.
No idea what this is about, but it’s kinda awesome.
RPGs are fired rapidly from your butt. Yes, really.
Fly to a point you select on the map.
Note: The flight is... rough. You might not arrive in one piece.
All nearby civilians drop dead instantly.
Nearby vehicles start spinning. You’ll probably go “Wait… they spin like THAT?”
You shoot flamethrower flames from your butt.
Nearby vehicles get hacked and go completely bonkers.
Planes rain down from the sky.
Spawns a ton of mountain lions around you. Good luck.
Ninja-fied civilians group up and jog back and forth in front of you.
They explode when they die. Again.
You become a ninja. Press dash to zip around like lightning.
Ninjas still explode when they die.
You get diarrhea. It’s flammable.
Sometimes everyone gets diarrhea. Flaming chaos.
Your HP is reduced to 1. No “possibility” about it — you’re doomed.
Freezes all people and vehicles around you.
You become invincible for a while. Your car doesn't.
Swaps positions of nearby NPCs
(This feature causes crashes so it's disabled.)
Repairs the vehicle you’re currently driving.
Civilians spin rapidly around you like some weird sushi orbit.
Best with Chaos Mode. Everyone only gets RPGs.
Time shifts to a random hour.
Spawns a bunch of random people around you.
Spawns a few friendly NPCs.
They might stop being friendly when time runs out.
Summons a ton of taxis around the player. Very sloppily.
Spawns a random vehicle right above you.
Nearby vehicles go completely berserk.
Boosts the toughness of your vehicle.
A storm forms around the player.
Nearby vehicles bounce around wildly.

Pumps up your car's engine specs.
All nearby cars catch fire at once.
Solomon drops from the sky and explodes massively on impact, flinging everything around.
