Sept. 9, 2014

Met on Sept. 7 to introduce ourselves, evaluate goals and requirements of project, and establish routine meeting time/place. Some roles were decided upon (captain - Czarnocki, customer representative - Brookins, etc.) but others will be assigned as the project progresses. I plan to look in to literature for app development within the next week.

Sept. 14, 2014

Today we all discussed what questions and information we would like to present to our client, Ms. Tissot, at our first group-client meeting this coming Wednesday. Also, we all looked over the document that Ms. Tissot provided to us on ADA standards to get a feel for the information it contains. I added a Readme to the home page of our project that includes a short project description to "welcome" us to the Github repo, and a Wiki page with the same project description in it as well.

Sept. 28, 2014

Met with Prof. Vidal on Sept. 24 to go over current progress on application and research, education on how Github works, and feedback on rough designs for app. Read more of ADA Standards and tried to figure out how to organize it by chapter/topic in app for simple viewing.

Oct. 8, 2014

Met with Prof. Vidal to discuss detailed designs and receive feedback and added a new Wiki to GitHub with all notes from meeting for easy access. I started reading about some essential GitHub functionality but, for now, am focusing on going through the ADA Standards document and figuring out how to organize all of it. I am also starting to get the hang of Eclipse again after not having used it for over a year.

Oct. 12, 2014

Updated and uploaded more detailed design with explanation of functionality on Home and Favorites screens.

Oct. 20. 2014

Met to discuss basic architectural components and structure. Met with Vidal about Milestone and received feedback regarding current progress. Otherwise, nothing.

Oct. 27, 2014

Did not meet because of Fall Break and no need to discuss milestone. Learned more about our replacement for Eclipse, Android Studio, and built most current version of app in simulator since I do not have a phone to run the app on.

Nov. 3, 2014

Fulfilled Pull/Commit requirement on GitHub for milestone by making sure that repo contains some code and contribution from all members of group. Met with Vidal to ensure that this was completed correctly and decided on next few steps for app. Will begin to create issues on GitHub for required work and progress tracking.

Nov. 10, 2014

Did not do much these few weeks because of exams and extra workload but did work more with Android Studio to get to know it and its options better. Will work on completing "About" and "Contact" links on Home page of app.

Nov. 17, 2014

Created Issue on GitHub for About/Contact links on Home page to outline features and layout and make sure that everything is done appropriately. Closed Issue on GitHub regarding Activity Log.

Nov. 30, 2014

Added About button to Home screen along with its activity and destination screen with all of the appropriate information; corrected formatting of About and Contact buttons on Home screen. Meeting with Dr. Vidal tomorrow to go over progress and receive feedback on demonstration of app.

Jan. 22, 2015

Made no changes over Winter break but did think a good bit about how to add AbleSC donation option to app without compromising our or AbleSC's security. Plan to look into in-app billing implementation to keep it safe and efficient.

Feb. 5, 2015

No progress, other than getting ready to meet with AbleSC, our client, client tomorrow by preparing questions and any ideas that I want to run by them.

Feb. 12, 2015

Met with client, AbleSC, on Friday, February 6 to demo app with most recent progress and receive feedback on what we have so far (all notes are in Wiki). Looked into color palettes to match colors as closely as possible to theme on web site while maintaining legibility and appeal. Other than that, no programming progress from my end.

March 2, 2015

Finalized many changes for beta presentation on Wednesday including: colors, names still presented as ADA USC instead of ADA Access, changed "Calculator" button to "Quick Reference", fixed color issue on About screen, tested all menus for flow and operation, made sure that Favorites remain stored after removing app from running processes, added donation option by clicking on logo on home screen. Closed many issues that were not updated or just not needed any more.

March 31, 2015

Low activity over the last few weeks because of Spring Break and because of exams. Met with David to go over how to restructure layout of Quick Reference screen to make it flow better with tabs instead of new-screen buttons, completed Contact screen with better layout, screen divisions, new e-mail address, and link to AbleSC's Web site along with a short description. Sharing app with another group soon, so I am sure that I will post their feedback here. Other than that, issues for testing have been handled.

April 16, 2015

The biggest things done in the last few weeks involved general fine-tuning for our next demo with Dr. Vidal and testing another group's app. We were assigned Discovery Day for testing and since I am the only one with an iOS device in my group, I was the main contact between the other group and ours. We met to test, took notes on anything that we noticed, and I posted everything on the other group's Issues. Over the next few weeks we will finish up the search function, possibly a print function, and double-check other small things regarding usability.
