I do not want to sound pushy in any way! I am just curious as I would like to use a newer KTX version in my project: Thank you for creating this PR. What is the current state of it?

@TimmRuppert the state is that it's done and ready to be merged. But I'm not sure who is supposed to review it. I usually just open PRs qnd let the triage happen. I might get more pro active though since its not happening.

The newly generated ktx2 files trigger some validation errors. But IMHO that cannot be solved without patching the generation code itself.

The ktx2 in thus PR definitely work in my Rust + Bevy project though.

This is my first time working with a repository in the KhronosGroup organization, but I would assume there should be a maintainer here. However, this repo doesn’t seem very active, lacks detailed contribution guidelines beyond a general call for friendliness, and I have a feeling no one will take responsibility for this PR...

Sorry, I'm not too plugged into the KTX-Software side of things. I see this is just a submodule update but it's not my place to merge it here. Also I don't think this repo is under active maintenance, perhaps it should just be archived?
