How we calculate with diffraction limits

In which we describe our approximations and different types of diffraction-limited lens calculations in ISETlens.

This is particularly relevant to the ISET3d and PBRT diffraction switch. But let's start here. It may be that when all the rays converge to a single point in ISETlens, then the design is diffraction-limited. The diffraction is then superimposed by using the algorithm inserted in the PBRT special code.
