This wiki is to describe different aspects of our application, as well as provide additional information for extending or altering it.
This is a command line based java application that tackles the multiprocessor scheduling problem in computer science. As an NP hard problem, out algorithm splits itself across different processors, as well as combining different heuristics to solve it is a reasonable time.
Our projects name, Ainur, is from Lord Of The Rings and is the name of mighty beings created in the depths of time before the beginning of the world (http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Ainur). Like the Ainur, the multiprocessor scheduling problem is mighty and has been around in the computer science field for a very long time.
