Just noting comments from email discussions along the way:

I’d really prefer it if we can keep to the “contract” around what science gets done by JULES at each point in the 4 coupling points rather than adding stuff – we may need to add a bit to CONTROL to get the downward shortwave (not net shortwave) into explicit but we’re going to have to do something like this anyway.
