SpoolEase Desktop – First Release

This is the initial release of SpoolEase Desktop. While its functionality is currently limited, it serves as the foundation for future desktop-related features.

The app allows you to access your custom filament data, so when scanning tags, you'll also see the names of your custom filaments. For more details, check the documentation (if available). If not, scan a custom filament tag and click the Custom Filament link for instructions.

Installation

Mac

1. Download the DMG and install SpoolEase Desktop as usual.
2. Since the app isn’t signed, macOS may block it. To bypass this, open a terminal and run:

   sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/SpoolEaseDesktop.app

   (sudo may not be necessary).

Windows

1. Download the MSI and install it.
2. Because the installer isn’t signed, Windows may block it. To work around this:
   • Exclude both the download location and installation folder from protection (see image below).
   • Skip or dismiss any Microsoft security warnings.

There may be a better way to bypass these prompts, but this method works.
