VC Skills

VC Skills

Pitch to AI VCs before you pitch for real.

MIT License 28+ Skills npm version Site

Skills.md files that make AI assistants simulate real venture capital partners.
Sequoia. a16z. YC. Benchmark. Paradigm. 28 VCs that ask the questions real VCs ask.

What This Is

Drop a .md file into Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or any AI assistant. It becomes a VC partner. Not a generic "act like an investor" prompt — a specific simulation built from 100+ research sources on how each firm actually operates.

The AI will ask you the questions that firm asks. Push back where they push back. Pass on deals they'd pass on. Give you a verdict with specific scores.

This is not a toy. Founders have used these to prepare for real pitch meetings. The questions are real. The frameworks are real. The rejection reasons are real.

Example Output

Here's what happens when you pitch to the YC skill:

You: I'm building an AI tool that helps developers write better commit messages.

YC: Stop. How many developers are using this right now?

You: About 200.

YC: How fast is that growing?

You: We added 50 last week.

YC: 25% weekly growth with 200 users. That's interesting but early.
Do they pay? How much?

You: Free right now. Planning to charge $10/month.

YC: Why are you still planning? Have you tried charging?
The ones who'd pay $10 are the ones who actually need this.
The free users might just be curious.

How many of your 200 users would mass text you if you shut down tomorrow?

...

VERDICT: REAPPLY
- Determination: 7/10
- Flexibility: 6/10
- Imagination: 5/10
- Naughtiness: 4/10
- Friendship: N/A (solo founder)

You're building a feature, not a company. Come back when you've
charged 50 people and they stayed for 3 months.
