This add 'dir="auto"' as a global attribute (all elements) when left_to_right option is set to 't'. It could be as a parser_option (when parser is created) or as a buffer option (with #+OPTIONS: left_to_right: t)

I know this is a bad practice but this branch contains a few fixes, maybe you can cherry-pick some of them.
Hope it helps, there's still a pending release
