👋 Hi, I’m Vy Nguyen

I’m a frontend developer focused on React, Next.js, and TypeScript, with an engineering background that taught me to be curious, patient, and detail-oriented when building software.

I genuinely enjoy learning how things work—especially why they break. When I run into bugs or performance issues, I see them as opportunities to understand systems more deeply, whether that’s tracing state through a React app or following data all the way back to an API or hardware constraint. I’m still learning every day, and that process is what keeps me motivated.

I care a lot about writing clear, maintainable code, building thoughtful UI systems, and improving performance and reliability over time. I don’t aim to be the smartest person in the room—I aim to be the one who listens, learns quickly, and steadily gets better.

I’m especially interested in:

Frontend architecture and scalable UI patterns

Performance optimization and real-world user experience

Type-safe, predictable state management

Learning from code reviews, production bugs, and better engineers

I enjoy building things that are simple on the surface, solid underneath, and easy for others to work with.
