Looks good to me. As you've already noted this doesn't actually make a difference due to how the logic in find_jobs() is written.
You could also add e->flags |= DOW_STAR|DOW_MON; to the "daily/midnight" logic in entry.c for consistency, but this won't change the result since both thisdom and thisdow will be true in that case.
