Response and Follow-up Question from Jon [9/25]

Thank you so much for all of your answers, they are extremely helpful.

As for the banking statistics by gender I cannot give you a direct link. If you go to:

http://databank.worldbank.org/data/reports.aspx?source=gender-statistics

You can choose from a few hundred different series of gender statistics. I was able to build tables from the two series I asked about: "Saved at a financial institution, female (% age 15+)" and "Saved at a financial institution, male (% age 15+)" Source cited by the world bank in the meta data for those two series is "Demirguc-Kunt et al., 2015" If you want to look at the tables, I downloaded them and posted them here.

https://github.com/visualizedata/undp/tree/master/work/jthirkield/supplementalData

The main question here was that I was searching to find sources with both MALE and FEMALE banking stats because my visualization depends on mapping that gaps between the two. The current data only has stats for banking by women. My ultimate goal is to allow visualization for a variety of statistics divided by gender. There seem be to large number of potentially useful gender-based statistic on the dankbank site. Would it be productive for me to seek out further data sets from this site, and submit them for your approval? Or would you prefer that my visualization remain within the scope of the data provided?

Question from Linnea [10/28]

The dataset for 2.2 includes data taken from the following website: http://data.unicef.org/child-protection/overview.html. Is it possible to use other data from this website? I'm specifically interested in exploring the relationships between partner violence and child marriage, which are both discussed in more depth through this website.

Thank you!
