This submission improves the HiveMind (memU) project by transitioning from keyword-based retrieval to a high-performance vector-first approach using local embeddings. It includes a comprehensive roadmap (direction.md), a new direct memory query API (/api/query), and several architectural refinements to ensure the system is robust for both the built-in Chat and future API integrations.

PR created automatically by Jules for task 11236916182975068513 started by @virtuehearts

- Add `direction.md` with project assessment and roadmap.
- Implement vector similarity search using LanceDB and `@xenova/transformers` in `EmuMemoryLayer`.
- Add `/api/query` endpoint for direct memory access.
- Refactor `EmuMemoryLayer` and routes to handle asynchronous retrieval.
- Fix regressions in EMU import and connection management.
