Welcome to the Emu Wiki

Emu is a microbial community profiling software tool tailored for full-length 16S rRNA data. By combining a custom 16S rRNA database with an sequencing error-aware expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm, Emu enables high-precision, species-level taxonomic abundance estimation, even when working with error-prone long reads.
