Emails
It's unfortunate that we sometimes have to suspend accounts, but hopefully we've made it really easy to fix. Here are some typical scenarios:
Typos
If you have a typo in your e-mail address, simply log into your account and change your profile and update your e-mail preferences (e-mails are turned off when an account is suspended).
Closed E-mail Accounts
If you have moved jobs, or you have closed your e-mail account without updating your settings in toepoke your account may become suspended after a period of time.
Simply log into your account and change your profile and update your e-mail preferences (e-mails are turned off when an account is suspended).
E-mails Rejected
If your ISP is rejecting toepoke e-mails, there is little we can do about this. You could try contacting your ISP, or changing your e-mail address to another provider.
Once you believe the situation is resolved, simply log into your account and change your profile and update your e-mail preferences (e-mails are turned off when an account is suspended).
Firstly you need to be a manager of your squad to see the e-mail address of another player. This is a security precaution (otherwise anyone could try and join your squad, just to spam them).
Assuming you are a manager, simply select my squads from the main menu, and then your squad (the button with the 3 players on it).
From the my squad screen, either click on the Name of a player to e-mail them.
Alternatively use the Export Squad button to extract the details (including e-mails and contact numbers) of all your squad players.
toepoke uses e-mail to communicate actions and confirmations, to keep you informed about progress for your matches.
If the pitch changes, we tell you, if you put your name down, we'll tell you.
This is great in the normal run of things, but not so good if you're injured for a few weeks, or go on holiday.
To help with this, we've added some e-mail preferences to your profile.
-
All e-mails
The default is receive all e-mails as you do now
-
Some e-mails
Some of the less essential e-mails won't be sent. For example you won't tell you when you've put your name down or a second invite if you haven't put your name down.
-
No e-mails
Just as it says on the tin! You won't receive any emails through the week.
Useful if you're on holiday for a few weeks and want to limit your inbox for when you get back!
You will still get admin e-mails, when you reset your password for instance. Just as it says on the tin! You won't receive any emails through the week.
Confused as to why you haven't received an invitation to the game this week?
Whilst I won't rule out there's an issue with the system, it's entirely likely you've already said you're playing (or not) for that game.
If you put your registration down before the invitations go out, we won't send an invitation. After all you've already said what you want to do. Asking you again would just be spamming you ... and we try to avoid that 🙂
Good news, you can now create floating members instead 😊
This is on our to-do list. In the meantime simply sign-up with a webmail account and sign-up on their behalf.
You may wish to ask your manager to make you a manager also. That way you can put both your name down and the other person too, without having to log in as the other user.
E-mail clients (like Outlook and Gmail) will try and protect you from spam by placing suspect e-mails into a spam filter.
If you were expecting an e-mail from toepoke.co.uk but it isn't in your inbox, it may have been considered spam and placed into your spam folder.
Your e-mail client will allow you to mark an e-mail as OK. Here's how to ensure you can see your notifications in:
- Outlook
- Gmail
- In Hotmail:
- Open the Junk folder
- Find an e-mail from toepoke.co.uk
- Right click on the e-mail and select Not Junk
Most of the time we will use notification[at]toepoke.co.uk to send messages to you.
