I'm excited to see your interest in contributing to this item! I would set the status to scoping for now, as we usually only mark it as in progress once there is visible code (like a first PR or feature branch). It's also a new conceptual item, so it might be worth outlining the exact approach you plan to take in an RFC (https://thousandbrainsproject.readme.io/docs/request-for-comments-rfc) or a less formal writeup (like a thread on Discourse https://thousandbrains.discourse.group/latest) for discussion, so we can make sure we are on the same page before you spend a lot of time implementing it. We can also schedule a meeting sometime if there are a lot of open questions and ideas to talk through.
I'm looking forward to talking more about this and to your contributions!

Hi @vkakerbeck , That makes sense - I’ve already created a post on Discourse outlining the initial idea and approach, and I’m currently waiting for feedback to help refine it and make sure we’re aligned before moving forward with any implementation.
