…f another stripper plugin is loaded for some reason, and it has the same or lower version, it will disable itself. if the other plugin has a higher version, it will broadcast out ITS version, which will cause the original one to disable itself

A good functional use of the plugin message system could be for stripper to broadcast a message and any other loaded stripper that receives it will disable itself.
