Welcome to the DFSIM wiki!

This project is designed to be a technology testing project for designing, building, testing, and shipping forest growth and yield simulators using a variety of software engineering technologies. The number of files in the project is small (about five fortran files), the code is well established, and publicly available.

While there are other open-sourced projects for forest simulation, they are either too large for quick and simple technology testing (Open-FVS), part of established open source projects (CONIFERS), or are simply not available to the public (FPS).

If you would like to make contributions to the DFSIM project, please contact the project maintainer.

To download, configure, build, test, and package up DFSIM, please follow these instructions for building DFSIM.
