yapyap is a community-driven anonymous journalling social media app, placing value on the subtlety of online interpersonal connections, where people can be their authentic selves.
This is the winning project of the Community and Connection Track and Best Design Award of nwHacks 2024. I created the AI model to analyze sentiments, and co-developed the frontend.

After the Proof-of-Concept, we plan to expand yapyap with the following features:

- Expand AI sentiment detection to recognize a broader spectrum of human emotions.
- Improve accuracy in analyzing more subtle nuances like sarcasm.
- Develop an AI agent that provides customized responses based on user mood.
- Offer users insights or affirmations based on their entry.
- Introduce mood-tracking visualizations to help users reflect on their emotional trends.
- Provide optional personal insights on journaling habits over time.
