Releases: tanjo3/wwrando
dev_tanjo3.1.10.5
NEW FROM S8 BUILD
- Add an option to force progress items on required bosses' Heart Container locations. Open as PR#418.
- As a reminder, this does not mean the item is required (i.e., a path item), just that it's an item you would normally find in a spiky metal chest with CTMC on.
- Modify the hint logic to catch more cases of non-required items.
- This adds checks for items that would previously be classified as possibly required to check if they're logically not required. This should reduce the amount of barren blockers. As an example, assume Lenzo's chests have a shard and another Picto, and the rest of the Picto checks are dead. Before, the Lenzo Picto would be possibly required. Now, it would be not required. Now assume a sphere 0 Picto and another Picto in an otherwise-barren Earth Temple, and that nothing is in Hyrule. A shard is on Lenzo's chests and the rest of the Picto checks are dead. Both Pictos are possibly required and remain to be so after this change.
- Add more shuffle options for dungeon items. Open as PR#417.
- Miscellaneous QOL and other updates. Each can be individually toggled on/off. (siz)
- Mila Speedup: Shortened or Instant
- 1-3 DRM Warp Pot Cycles
- Remove Ballad Warp Landing Cutscene
- Always Skip Triforce Cutscene
- Add/Modify Pot/Barrel Drops on certain islands
- Speed Up Anton and Garrickson for Lenzo's Assistant
- Kamo Accepts Any Moon Phase Photo
- Shorten Mail Sorting Minigame to Final Round
- Fill Wallets When Received
- Speed Up Tingle Jail Cutscenes
- Fix Auction (Sign with prizes, cycling auction order without RNG)
- Use permalink as seed string, rather than seed name. Open as PR#420.
- This ensures that even minor changes to the permalink result in significant differences in how the seed is randomized.
MODIFIED FROM S8 BUILD
- Add the ability to exclude individual locations from progression. Open as PR#389. Includes bug fixes.
- Add an option to make all Progressive Magic Meters give double magic.
- All magics will now say the same message when you get them. This setting now has logical implications; if you get one magic meter, the logic is aware that you have double magic. However, item placement still behaves as normal (if normally there's a logical use for double magic, then both magics will be in the item pool). Starting with a magic meter also gives double magic (otherwise, there'd be some funky logic stuff not worth dealing with).
- Add options for shard, sword, and bow hints on Old Man Ho Hos, KoRL, and Kreeb, respectively.
- This feature has been updated to include these hints in the spoiler log.
- Add an option to start with up to 99 of each spoil. Includes bug fixes.
UNCHANGED FROM S8 BUILD
- Add an option to restore the bomb flower puzzle blocking the DRC entrance. (natolumin)
- Add the shortcut light warp into the DRI dungeon entrance.
- Add an option to put the Rainbow Rupee into the progress item pool.
- As a reminder, this has no logical implications.

TWW AP 2.5.1
This release contains the following changes:
- Compatibility with all valid Archipelago player names.
This is the randomizer built for use with Archipelago. The build can not be used to generate regular randomizer ROMs. Instead, it uses a .aptww file produced during multiworld generation to randomize the ISO. See the game's setup guide for details and instructions on how to use this build with Archipelago.
This release is compatible with v3.0.x of the APWorld. If your APWorld is a different version, please check for a release compatible with the version you’re using.
TWW AP 2.5.0
This release contains the following changes:
- Compatibility with the restructured versions of APTWW files.
- Set new icon matching the one used in the AP Launcher.
- Renamed a few items for better clarity.
- Fix a bug where the randomizer would not work if the seed name couldn't be converted to an
int. - Renamed app name in the user data directory on Mac OS to not conflict with the base randomizer's.
This is the randomizer built for use with Archipelago. The build can not be used to generate regular randomizer ROMs. Instead, it uses a .aptww file produced during multiworld generation to randomize the ISO. TWW AP 2.4.0
This release contains the following changes:
- Add support for the APWorld change to not randomize all locations. Nonrandomized locations will contain a yellow Rupee with modified get item text notifying the player that the check is not randomized.
- Fix saved custom model presets failing to load.
- The game name will now include leading zeros in the seed name.
- Rewriting the AP ASM patch to clear the get item array slot before calling the item get function. Hopefully, this resolves receiving an extra copy of an item.
- Support for APWorld fix to failing to receive your second progressive magic meter.
- Stricter checks for
execItemGetinterrupts to avoid unintended side effects.
Note that you must use the v2.6.1 version of the apworld along with this randomizer version. You can find that download here: apworld v2.6.1

See the linked repository for details and instructions on how to use this build with Archipelago.
TWW AP 2.3.0
This release contains the following changes:
- Added back the option to randomize enemy palettes.
- Also included the upstream change to set the default targeting mode to "Switch".
- Added support for the fix to randomized charts.
- Added support for the Swords Optional sword mode.
- Added validation for APTWW files so that using an incompatible version of an APTWW will no longer silently fail when the user presses Randomize.
- Changed the tablet in front of Savage Labyrinth to always hint at the items within, even if they are filler items.
- Shortened the game name to allow for longer slot names.
- Updated the program's look and feel to match the upstream randomizer.
- Updated item hints in NPC text to include the player slot number and the specific item name, rather than just "Archipelago Item".
- This includes hovering over items in Beedle's shop ship, Zunari's announcements in the auction, and Salvatore's text during the battlesquid minigame.
- Fixed a bug that had the Wallet mail hinting the 950 item twice.
- Fixed a bug that caused dungeon keys not to hint correctly.
Note that you must use the v2.5.2 version of the apworld along with this randomizer version. You can find that download here: apworld v.2.5.2

TWW AP 2.2.0
This release contains the following changes:
- Required bosses mode: Previously known as race mode, this option requires you to beat a certain number of bosses to unlock the door to Puppet Ganon. The location of these required bosses will be marked on your sea chart. Dungeons of unrequired bosses will be guaranteed only to contain junk items, so you don't have to enter them.
- You no longer have to enter your slot name manually. After you connect to the server, the client will automatically authenticate with the slot name once you start a save file.
- Support for randomized charts, where each chart leads to different randomized sectors.
- Added back the hints on the Two-Eye Octo Fairy and Savage Labyrinth hint tablet.
- The Two-Eye Octo Fairy tells you the location of a random progression item in your world.
- The Savage Labyrinth hint tablet tells you what's on floors 30 and 50. If nothing is on the floor, it will say "challenge awaits".
- In all cases, the hint tells you the player's slot number and the exact item name, as in the case of Archipelago items.
- This is also updated for the advertising mail you receive from Beedle after you find a Wallet.
- The randomized ISO's name now includes the player's slot name.
- When you send a Triforce shard without having any yourself, it will no longer display an FF Compass message.
- Potions are now obtainable again from shops and Hollo.
Note that you must use the v2.4.0 version of the apworld along with this build version. You can find that download here: apworld v.2.4.0
This is the randomizer built for use with The Wind Waker Archipelago. The build can not be used to generate regular randomizer ROMs. Instead, it uses a .aptww file produced during multiworld generation to randomize the ISO. See the linked repository for details and instructions on how to use this build with Archipelago.
TWW AP 2.1.0
The release adds support for item models. Wind Waker items will use their normal in-game models, while Archipelago items (items for other games) will be represented using Father's Letter (the letter Medli gives Link to give to Komali in the base game).
Due to the nature of the implementation, freestanding items not held over Link's head will always be given to the collecting player. These items are rupees, spoils, and bait. For example, suppose player A collects a freestanding randomized silver rupee. In that case, they will get 200 rupees, regardless of who that silver rupee is for. If that rupee is for player A, then player A will again receive a silver rupee from the client, resulting in a gain of 400 rupees. If that rupee is for player B, both players will receive 200 rupees.
This release also adds support for the chest type matches contents (CTMC). Progression items and traps will be found in metal chests, dungeon keys for Wind Waker will be in key chests, and the remaining items will be put into wooden chests.
Releases now include a build for Linux as well!
