Steve is a macOS application that enables AI to interact directly with your computer. It is being developed by AI agents, with the code remaining private until we reach a stable V1 release. The goal for V1 is to develop an L1 AI Agent which is an AI agent that can operates automated but still requires some human-in-the-loop. L2 AI Agent will be end game.

This folder contains the built app after you run npm run build from the project root. Look for:
- Steve.app — Double-click to run. No separate Python install needed.
- Open Steve.app
- Steve appears in the menu bar (gear icon)
- Click the icon or use ⌘Space to open the spotlight search and run automations
- Accessibility — Required for mouse and keyboard automation. Add Steve in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility
- ⌘Space shortcut — To use ⌘Space for Steve’s search, turn off Spotlight’s shortcut in System Settings → Keyboard → Keyboard Shortcuts → Spotlight
