Welcome to the timeto wiki!

timeto started as switch, a small perl script that tracked my task switches a provided basic daily report generation to track productivity at work. Thus far the project has totally catered to my own style of working and setup.

timeto is supposed to be minimally functional in that I don’t want a lot of options to distract me from actual work tasks. It should do very well-defined things and do them well.

timeto is maximally integrated in that it should be available anywhere, and easily viewable at a glance. Periodic interaction to log a task switch or check my current task should happen quickly enough not to distract from the real task at hand, though more sustained, in-depth interaction for editing records, tidying up or fleshing out reports should also be possible.

As mentioned, interactions with timeto have to be fast and reasonably pleasant or I won’t use it. I hate tracking my time and at some level, I’m always looking for an excuse to stop doing it.
