StatsFence

I put this together because I needed to check medians and quartiles without firing up a big library. You paste in your numbers, it spits out median, 1st, 3rd, IQR, and some “fences” to help see if you’ve got outliers.

How to Run It

Download the file, then:

StatsFence.py

It’ll ask you for numbers (space separated). Example:

1 5 6 8 9 15

Output will look like:

1st:5.0
Median:7.0
3rd:9.0
IQR:4.0
Upper Fence:15.0
Lower Fence:-1.0

That’s it really. I mostly use it for quick checks when I’m too lazy to open my notebook.
