HotMon v1.0 – Global Hotkey Monitor for Windows

HotMon is a lightweight, command-line tool designed to help power users, developers, and IT professionals monitor and troubleshoot global hotkey usage on Windows. Ever wondered why your favorite shortcut isn’t working, or which app is hijacking your hotkeys? HotMon gives you instant answers.

What’s Inside?

  • Live Hotkey Logging: Instantly see which hotkey combos are being pressed and which application is in focus.
  • Hotkey Availability Probe: Scan your system to find out which modifier-based hotkey combinations (Ctrl, Alt, Shift, Win) are already taken by other apps.
  • Export to CSV: Save your logs and probe results for later analysis or sharing.
  • Command-Line Friendly: Use simple flags and aliases to run probes, search combos, or start live monitoring ~ perfect for scripting or automation.
  • Quick Controls: Save logs or probe results with a single keystroke, or exit instantly with ESC.

Why Use HotMon?

  • Troubleshoot Conflicts: Quickly identify which app is blocking your favorite shortcut.
  • Optimize Productivity: Find unused hotkey combos for your own tools or workflows.
  • No Bloat: No installers, no background services—just a single executable.
