• From Memphis, TN. Married with 2 kids.
• Life long computer nerd
• Started career in telecom/retail/sales, later moved to software development
• Worked at seed-stage SaaS startup, then left to work on my own project, now looking to join a team again

My Path to Tech

Sales/Telecom -> Engineering:

• Working many years in various sales and other misc roles
• Decided to bet on myself, left my job and pursued a remote dev role while honing coding skills and doing small contract roles
• Self-taught in programming
  • 2018 Python -> 2019 JavaScript & web -> 2020 Go & SPA frameworks -> Always exploring: Lisp, Elixir, LLMs..

Startup experience:

• SheetRocks
  • Joined as founding engineer & first hire at seed-stage startup building a web based, high-performance spreadsheet application
  • Worked alongside technical founder
  • Built out React frontend and Go backend
• LanguageLabs
  • Self-funded exploration into AI agents and meta learning
  • Mainly prototyping, whiteboarding/sketching concepts
