kdriveExpress SDK

Introduction

The kdrive Access Express Edition Library is a C library which enables KNX Bus Access via Interface Devices, such as the KNX USB Interface 310 and KNX IP Interface 730 from Weinzierl Engineering.

This is a binary SDK.

Getting Started C

• Read the documentation

• Compile the samples.

For Windows (for example)

• Create a Visual Studio console project for each of the c samples.

• Set the include path in the project properties. ⇒ Right click on the project - in Configuration Properties - C/C++ - General add the include folder directory of kdriveExpress to 'Additional Include Directories'

• Add the lib path in the project properties. ⇒ Right click on the project - in Configuration Properties - Linker - General add the lib folder directory of kdriveExpress to 'Additional Library Directories'

• Add the kdriveExpress.lib dependency
  ⇒ Right click on the project - in Configuration Properties - Linker - Input add "kdriveExpress.lib" to 'Additional Dependencies'

• Copy the dll to the build path.

For Linux (for example)

• Copy kdriveExpress.so to /usr/local/lib

• run ldconfig

• Compile the samples, i.e.

• gcc -I../../include -Wl,-rpath,/usr/local/lib -o kdrive_express_usb kdrive_express_usb.c -lkdriveExpress -lpthread

Getting Started .NET

• pre-compiled DLL’s can be found in the SDK for Visual Studio 12 2013.

• Simply add a reference to the corresponding DLL

• in your .net (e.g. c#) project, i.e. kdriveExpress_dotnet.dll

Note	kdriveExpress_dotnet.dll no longer requires kdriveExpress.dll
