I honestly don't know where the adapter information is used for. I also don't know if these sequences actually match what the wet lab is using. You might want to ask Kati for her input on this. In my experience, the pipeline worked regardless of the content of the adapter information.

Hello Stefan! its good to hear from you and know that you still exist on this planet :D
I just checked, Trimmomatic takes the adapters information from one location inside the conda/pkgs/. Seems that the adapters are already downloaded with the trimmomatic package. In any case, I will double check with Kati/Daniel if the adapters used are the same as the ones in the adapters-files of trimmomatic. I will keep this branch open until I figure this out.
