For some reason, the `Direct` module has been exporting orphan `Show` instances for standard types, which is pretty awful. Let's just not.

I agree - but can you just remove the code instead of commenting it out please?

Sure. I thought you might want it commented out for debugging purposes, but I'll be happy to just cut it out entirely. |
