Small Windows utility that fixes text typed in the wrong keyboard layout between English and Hebrew.
- Global hotkey (F9 by default).
- Works in most text fields (Notepad, Word, browsers, etc.).
- Automatically detects whether the text is mostly Hebrew or English and converts it using a standard Israeli keyboard mapping.
- Runs in the background as a system tray application (no main window by default).
- Tray menu with:
- Enabled toggle (temporarily enable/disable the hotkey).
- Exit to quit the application cleanly.
- Run
FixIt. - A tray icon appears near the system clock.
- Select any text that was typed in the wrong layout.
- Press
F9. - The selected text will be replaced with the fixed version.
- If no text is selected, pressing
F9does nothing (to avoid reusing old clipboard content). - Right-click on the tray icon to open the menu (Enabled / Exit).
- Left-click the tray icon to open the settings window.
- The hotkey is currently fixed to
F9. In future versions it may become configurable.
- Fine-tune clipboard timing and reduce unnecessary delays.
