Add a new upgrade E2E suite in test/e2e_upgrade to install from a source catalog/channel, upgrade to a target catalog/channel, and validate behavior before and after upgrade.
Refactor shared E2E helpers into test/utils (template rendering, OLM/CSV helpers, readiness checks, and verification utilities).
Split test execution by build tags (integration and upgrade) and add/update make targets (e2e-test, e2e-test-upgrade).
