Here is the pinout of the board, followed by the multiplexer controlling table.

The multiplexer controls what neighbor will be read by the internal Serial State Machine. In order to choose one of the inputs (RXN,RXE,RXS,RXW) the firmware configures the control pins (D5,D6,D7,D8) as shown on this mapping:
