Releases: romhackraces/baserom
Version 5.14
Cross-platform support comes to the baserom!
Thanks to contributions from jneen the setup process now accommodates Linux and Mac and the workflow now relies use of WINE to run various tools. You can read the included and updated documentation for more information about this. If you are not on windows you can download the nonwindows ZIP below.
In addition to that some resources and tools were updated to their latest versions, and a few bugs were fixed. You can see the changelog for a breakdown.
Version 5.13.1
Restores the batch script wrapper on the setup PowerShell script.
Version 5.13
This update is mostly largely improvements to how the baserom is organized, along with some bug fixes and updates to components and tools.
Since Lunar Magic 3.60 added support for custom descriptions and tooltips for objects, the whole UberASM Objects system now takes advantage of this to make them easier to use.
The baserom folder structure has been altered to put things in more intuitive places and the setup process has been streamlined and the scripts have been cleaned up. For those people using the project right from GitHub there are now a few additional scripts to create a "build process" for the baserom.
For more details you can see the changelog.
Version 5.12
This a pretty hefty update, with a lot of refactoring under the hood. Major upgrades to the retry system and the uberasm objects system. Also some changes to the baserom's ExGraphics, and some housekeeping when it comes to patches. See the Changelog.txt for more details.
Version 5.11
This release is mostly a maintenance update, with no new features. Fixing minor bugs that have accumulated, updating some tools and resources to their latest versions. See the changelog for more details.
Version 5.10
This version has a rework of the build configuration and folder structure (so be careful if you decide to update as things are organized a bit differently) to better accommodate exporting resources and upgrading to new versions going forward. FreeRAM definitions for resources also got tided up and is now managed by Callisto. There have also been some significant improvements to the Readme.
Overall a this has just been a build configuration and improvement update, no feature changes.
Version 5.9
Bit of a more involved release to do some maintenance fixing some uncovered issues with ON/OFF block logic and UberASM Objects. Added a new version of the rope glitch patch to make it RAM-toggleable with an UberASM Object. Added another button to the User Toolbar for viewing exit-enabled tiles. Updated Callisto to 0.4.0. See the full changelog for more details.
Version 5.8
A bit of a housekeeping update for this version. Some patches were upgraded to incorporate newly found fixes, Callisto and AddMusicK have been updated to their latest version, as has the UberASM retry system. Additionally, the global ExAnimation got reworked to be more out of the way, and a basic Autosave on Overworld feature was added. See the changelog for more details.
Version 5.7
Some under-the-hood improvements in this release, the retry indicator now as a sprite tile component for when the layer 3 HUD is hidden and it can be toggled on with an UberASM object. As for other UberASM objects, they have been expanded to include some for setting the initial player state or starting on Yoshi. See the changelog for more details.
Version 5.6
The release of version 5.6 brings mostly documentation improvements, code clean up and bug fixes, but a few small features have been added. There's a new layer 3 status bar indicator for levels that use retry, and new UberASM objects for disabling cape flight and screen shake.
