GrainLedgr

Every bushel has a story — and now you can actually prove it.

GrainLedgr gives grain elevator operators and commodity traders a full chain-of-custody ledger from farm field to export terminal, with every moisture test, grade certificate, and storage contract timestamped and tamper-evident. It integrates directly with USDA GIPSA reporting requirements and generates the exact documents your futures broker needs without you excavating 14 spreadsheets. Agriculture is a multi-trillion dollar industry still running on fax machines — this fixes that.

Features

  • Full chain-of-custody ledger from field intake to export terminal, with immutable audit trail
  • Parses and validates over 340 distinct USDA grade and moisture certificate formats
  • Native integration with CME Group futures position reporting and CBOT contract documentation
  • Tamper-evident timestamping on every storage contract, scale ticket, and grade cert. No exceptions.
  • One-click GIPSA-compliant export package — the exact file bundle your broker stops asking about

Supported Integrations

Granular Systems API, CME Group Market Data, USDA GIPSA eForms, DTN ProphetX, AgVend, Salesforce Agribusiness Cloud, Proagrica, FieldCore, BasisPro, GrainBridge, VaultLedger API, FarmLogs

Architecture

GrainLedgr is built on a Node.js microservices backbone with each domain — intake, grading, custody transfer, and document generation — running as an independently deployable service behind an internal API gateway. All transactional grain movement data is stored in MongoDB because the document model maps cleanly to the variability of certificate schemas across different states and elevator operators. Redis handles long-term certificate archival and audit log persistence, keeping retrieval fast regardless of how far back a compliance officer needs to dig. The frontend is a no-nonsense React dashboard that renders chain-of-custody views in real time as data flows through the pipeline.
