Finally, enterprise-grade SaaS for the eel farming industry that doesn't make you want to cry into your recirculating tank.
EelGrid tracks every stage of eel aquaculture operations — from fingerling intake to harvest weight — with real-time water quality monitoring, automated CITES export documentation, and EU/Japan market compliance built right in. It syncs directly with biosecurity logs and farm sensor feeds so you're never guessing why your yield dropped last Thursday. This is the software the global $3B eel industry has been running spreadsheets instead of.
- Full lifecycle tracking across grow-out stages with configurable mortality event logging
- Water quality telemetry ingested from over 340 sensor profiles across dissolved oxygen, pH, ammonia, and turbidity
- Native CITES Article IV export documentation generation with jurisdiction-aware field mapping
- Biosecurity incident correlation engine — finds the pattern before your stock does
- EU and Japan market compliance dashboards built in, not bolted on

EelGrid is built on a microservices backbone deployed via Docker Swarm, with each domain — intake, water quality, compliance, harvest — running as an independently scalable service behind an internal gRPC mesh. All transactional farm records are stored in MongoDB because the flexible document model maps cleanly to the irregular shape of aquaculture event data, and I'm not going to apologize for that. Redis handles long-term sensor time-series archival, keeping cold data queryable without hammering the primary store. The frontend is a React SPA talking to a Node.js API gateway — no framework churn, no abstractions for the sake of it.
