Summary

Updates the Radius Design Notes constitution to version 1.2.0 with new guidance sections for multi-repository development and Spec Kit usage.

Changes

Added Sections

  • Project Structure: Documents Radius as a multi-repository application with a table describing the five core repositories (radius, dashboard, docs, resource-types-contrib, design-notes) and their relationships
  • VS Code Workspace: Encourages Spec Kit users to open the design-notes.code-workspace file for unified development context across all Radius repositories
  • Spec Kit Usage: Clarifies that the ./template folder at the repository root should be ignored by Spec Kit (legacy templates), with Spec Kit templates located in .specify/templates/

Updated

  • Version bumped from 1.1.0 to 1.2.0
  • Last Amended date updated to 2026-01-30
  • Sync Impact Report updated to reflect new sections

Modified Files

  • .specify/memory/constitution.md

@brooke-hamilton I think something is wrong with versioning.

@brooke-hamilton I think something is wrong with versioning.

@DariuszPorowski I wish Spec Kit didn't do versioning and numbering. It is going to be non-deterministic no matter what they do in the prompt. Also, we have git for versioning. Adding a change log to a git-controlled file is an anti-pattern.
