I created a bash script that allows the crontab file to be easily updated. Additionally, it allows for remote controlling of the METAR Map through the use of Apple Shortcuts. The shortcut I created for it is linked in the README.

I like the idea of this update. I incorporated the noted changes and it seems to work.
However, the MiniDisplay is not working correctly. All previous CRONTAB lines are commented out, only the new "@reboot sleep 15 && /home/pi/refresh.sh" line is active. The MiniDisplay flashes at a very high rate after rebooting. After using the "OFF" command, then "ON" the MiniDisplay stays on one airport. Other times I do the same OFF/ON cycle, the MiniDisplay will flash between two different airports and the LEDs flash at 1 sec intervals.
Another issue I see: when "Shutdown" shortcut is used, I get a "transport read" error at the 'Run script over SSH' step in the shortcut.

Interesting I haven’t tested this at all with MiniDisplay so I’m not surprised that would cause issues.

@lynolamero maybe it’s best just to put a disclaimer to not use this with MiniDisplay?
