Mediqo

Mediqo is a MERN stack–based doctor appointment booking platform designed to streamline healthcare scheduling. It allows patients to browse available doctors by specialty, book appointments, and manage their schedules, while doctors can view and manage their bookings through a dedicated dashboard. The platform features authentication, responsive UI, and a user-friendly experience for both patients and healthcare providers.

Setup & Installation

1. Clone the repo

   git clone https://github.com/pritamchaudhary/Mediqo.git
   cd Mediqo

2. Install dependencies

for frontend

cd frontend && npm install

for backend

cd backend && npm install

3. Create your .env files in both frontend and backend, then add required environment variables like:

API_URL=http://localhost:4000 DB_URI=your_database_connection_string

4. Run the development servers

In frontend folder

npm start

In backend folder

npm run dev

5. Open your browser and head to:

Frontend: http://localhost:3000

Backend: http://localhost:4000
